If children's laughter and fresh hearts draw you, come and see: the little ones are waiting for someone to sow in them.
What we actually do
You prepare and run Sunday class for the little ones: songs, Bible stories, crafts, games and prayer at their level, you welcome and reassure the parents, you watch over each child's safety. You sow, week after week, the first truths into fresh hearts.
- •Prepare the week's lesson and craft (theme, materials).
- •Welcome and check in the kids, confirm who leaves with whom.
- •Lead the Bible story, song and game during service.
- •Tidy and sanitize the room after the session.
- •Send parents a photo and the lesson's key point.
Commitment: Every second or third Sunday on a team + a little prep; about 2-3 hrs. You can start as a helper, without leading alone.

Open arms that take children seriously
When the disciples turn away those bringing little children, Jesus is indignant: 'Let the little children come to me, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.' Then he takes them in his arms and blesses them, laying his hands on them. The Master of the universe has time for children and makes them the very model of faith: serving children is doing exactly what Jesus did.

Patient seed planted from childhood
Behind the great Timothy stand a grandmother and a mother: Lois and Eunice, whose sincere faith lived in their home before it lived in him. From childhood they taught him the holy Scriptures, which made him wise for salvation. No one watched them teach — but their patient sowing gave the church one of its finest servants.
What it will grow in you
This ministry forms joyful patience, simplicity of heart, and the tenderness that takes seriously the little ones others overlook. It grows in you the childlike faith Jesus praises.
You develop creative teaching, the art of storytelling and holding attention, the gentle handling of a group of children, and the gift of making a deep truth simple and alive.
Jesus makes children a Kingdom priority and Scripture entrusts their early formation to the church and families: "Let the little children come to Me… for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these" (Matthew 19:14) and "train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).
What serving here asks of you
Tested and trustworthy
Accepting vetting, training and oversight before entering the ministry, then honoring every safeguarding rule — never alone with a child, attendance tracked, incidents reported.
"They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve." — 1 Timothy 3:10
Teaching at a child's level
Telling a Bible story that grips 4-to-10-year-olds, holding a restless group without shouting, repeating the same truth ten different ways — often in a bilingual group.
"Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home." — Deuteronomy 6:7
Patient, joyful gentleness
Keeping gentleness and good humor amid noise, tears and repeated questions: children absorb the atmosphere before the lesson.
"We were gentle among you, like a nursing mother caring for her children." — 1 Thessalonians 2:7
Seeing children as Jesus does
Praying for each child by name and serving with the conviction that this ministry forms real disciples — not a daycare freeing parents up for the sermon.

Honestly: Child safety is non-negotiable: background check, safeguarding training and the "never alone with a child" rule are required before any service; persistent impatience or a "babysitting" mindset disqualifies, and no one joins the team without being tested first.
