The tabernacle craftsman
If you love good craftsmanship and technology, come and see: the house is looking for craftsmen to carry the Word.
What we actually do
You run the sound, the slides, the video, the livestream and the recording, you prepare visuals and edit sermon clips, you make sure the word is heard and seen clearly, in the room and online. You handle Sunday tech and content production during the week.
- •Prepare the song and verse slides before Sunday.
- •Start the live stream and monitor the stream audio during service.
- •Run the projection and on-screen display during the meeting.
- •Record the sermon and drop it off for editing.
- •Cut short video clips for social media during the week.
Commitment: Every other Sunday in the booth + a little editing midweek; about 3-4 hrs. You can start on a single station (slides or camera).

Bezalel
Exodus 31:1-5; 35:30-35
Spirit-filled technical excellence
Bezalel is the first person the Bible says was 'filled with the Spirit of God' — not to prophesy, but to work gold, silver, wood and stone with skill, ability and knowledge. Called by name, he put his craft in service of the tabernacle, the meeting place with God, and was even gifted to teach his trade to others. Consecrated craftsmanship is a ministry in its own right.
Huram
1 Kings 7:13-14
Mastery placed in service of God's house
Solomon brings from Tyre a bronze craftsman, Huram, 'filled with wisdom, understanding and skill for making any work in bronze.' Son of a widow of Israel and a Tyrian father, this tradesman cast the pillars, the bronze sea and the temple's vessels — works at once massive and meticulous. His proven expertise, placed at the service of God's project, gave the temple its lasting beauty.
What it will grow in you
This service forms the humble excellence of one who gives their best for work few notice, and steadiness under pressure when everything must be ready on time. It grows an attention to detail in service of the Word.
You develop technical mastery of sound, video and digital tools, a sense of anticipation and live problem-solving, and the creative eye to compose image and story.
God fills craftsmen with His Spirit to build the place of His presence with excellence: "I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with skill, ability and knowledge in all kinds of crafts" (Exodus 31:3-5); and He wants the vision written "plainly, so that a herald may run with it" (Habakkuk 2:2).
What serving here asks of you
Excellence for God, not the screen
Setting up sound, cameras and projection as an act of worship offered to the Lord: technical quality carries the Word to those online and in the room.
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." — Colossians 3:23
Learning technical mastery
Knowing your console, booth or software, diagnosing a failure, and above all continuing to learn: gear changes, and the Spirit-equipped craftsman grows with it.
"He has filled him with the Spirit of God, with wisdom, with understanding, with knowledge and with all kinds of skills." — Exodus 35:31
Calm under pressure
When the mic dies mid-service or the livestream crashes, fixing it fast, with no visible panic and no blaming: self-control protects the whole room's atmosphere of worship.
"Better a patient person than a warrior, one with self-control than one who takes a city." — Proverbs 16:32
Invisible servant
Arriving before everyone to set up, leaving after everyone to tear down, and accepting that this ministry succeeds precisely when no one notices it.
"Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." — Matthew 6:4
Honestly: The booth requires being in place well before the service, every time: unreliability or lateness disqualifies faster than lack of technique, which can be taught; anyone serving for the technology itself, or resentful of the role's invisibility, must first grow as a servant.
